I’ve been a fan of Mignon Fogarty, AKA Grammar Girl, since discovering one of her books and her podcast last year. Her quick tips for remembering grammar rules and improving your writing are superb, and I really can’t say enough good things about her work.
She’s currently running a funding campaigne for a card game she’s developed called Peeve Wars. It looks absolutely brilliant.
From the description:
Peeve Wars is a card game for 2 to 4 players and is appropriate for people of all ages.
The base deck contains 18 individual card designs mixed to make a 54-card playing deck. The goal of the game is to amass a peeve army you use to annoy your opponent(s) to death. You start with 3 cool points. Each time an opponent successfully annoys you, you lose a cool. When you completely lose your cool, you lose the game.
I love the peeve monsters included in the game, and Mignon Fogarty answered my query on Twitter about whether or not the game should be playable by visually impaired users who wished to Braille out the cards. That answer was that it should be.
The game sounds like too much fun! To quote one of the Peeves, I can’t hardly wait! Yes, I could of not made that joke, but I literally could care less if you don’t like it!
